Grandma Bodily

Today my Grandma Bodily passed away. She was such a wonderful woman, grandmother, example, and friend to us all. We will miss her so much. I had the opportunity to talk to her shortly before she passed. There were many things I would have loved to say, but all that came out was, "I love you Grandma". I hope she understood everything I meant with that sentence. I give thanks to Heavenly Father for eternal families and for the knowledge that I will one day get to see and hug my Grandma again.

As Promised

Here is my handsome little man, all ready for church. I noticed a few spots that need some touch up, but overall I'm pretty happy with the haircut I was able to give my squirmy friend!

Finally! I got at least a portion of his smile! (Although the shadows make it look like he still needs a haircut!)

Time For a Haircut!

I've known that Abe needed another haircut for awhile, but tonight in the tub, I decided that it was beyond time to bite the bullet and give him one. That kid's hair grows like you wouldn't believe! Check back tomorrow for some "after" pictures!!

He had spaghetti-o's for dinner!

Abe's Newest Word

It seems like Abraham is picking up so many new words all the time. We hear "Its a car!" about 500 times a day, anytime he sees anything with wheels! His newest word: kick! Sorry for my voice on the video, I know it is terrible, but Abe's cuteness is enough to make up for it!

Happy Valentine's Day

Its a Small, Small World

So, we had a new couple, Mark and Rebecca, move into our ward recently. To get to know them better Ken and I had them over for Sunday dinner and games. They had arrived and we were waiting for the rolls to come out of the oven and doing a basic get to know you chat. We asked them where they'd grown up and found that Mark had lived in Sandy. Then we found out he went to Jordan High. Then we found out he graduated in 1998. WHAT????? I went to Jordan High and graduated in 1998. Our class was so big that not only did we not know each other, but when we each reeled off our list of friends I knew NONE of his and he knew only one of mine because they'd been in the same class in elementary or something. Later as we were playing cards, I had to laugh as I thought, "In high school who'd have ever thought we'd one day be sitting in Raleigh, NC playing cards?" On a side note, we like to have punishments when we play cards. Our evening that night included sour lemon juice "shots" and soy joy bars for the losers. Luckily the girls won! I love that you can see Rebecca in the background wiping away the laughing tears from her eyes!

Lost

Abraham and I had been shopping at Target (not our regular one) this morning. We headed out to the parking lot and I realized we were lost. I had completely forgotten where we had parked. We wandered around for a few minutes and I said out loud, "Abe, where in the world is Momma's car?". I was surprised when he immediately stuck out his little pointer finger. I followed to where he was pointing and sure enough, he was pointing right to our car! What a smart little guy.
