Rex's 4th Birthday

Rex turned 4 in August. It was a wonderful day filled, of course, with superheroes!
Ken painted him this picture to add to the others in the play room.

He wanted play-doh and pizza for his birthday, so he got to invite a couple friends over and his brothers and cousin and we had a fun afternoon.

I tried to talk him out of an Aquaman cake, but he knew for certainty that was what he wanted. So I made up some marshmallow fondant and did my best. He loved it, so that is all that matters.
Happy Birthday Rex.

Blueberry Picking

We went blueberry picking and while it was ridiculously hot, we had a wonderful time. Ken took the kids exploring while I picked and then he and Rexy picked while I hung out with the others. We are happy to have some frozen blueberries in our freezer to use this fall and winter.

This picture cracks me up. I had to run into a store that was on our way home, so we turned a movie on for the kids. Tyler was adamant that he didn't want to watch the movie, so we told him to close his eyes. Then he didn't want to hear the movie either, so we gave him these headphones to put over his ears. It sure looks like he isn't watching or listening to the movie, doesn't it?
