Tyler is 7!

I can't believe Tyler is 7.

I love the pure joy on his face in these pictures.

We have this creepy little doll that Ken's grandma made. We call him the Leprechaun Doll and he finds his way around our house and shows up on random occasions. We wrapped him up for Tyler's birthday and he thought it was so funny.

Breakfast of champions: Chocolate and marshmallows.
I got to go and have lunch with him at school.

He picked donuts as his treat to hand out to his classmates.
Since Abraham eats lunch right after Tyler, I stayed to eat with him too.

Tyler wanted Lego Bionicle cupcakes. I had many ideas, but this is what he ended up with. They tasted good and he was happy, so I guess that's what matters most.
He wanted to go to Chuck E Cheese for his birthday, so we headed there and played games and then walked down the road and ate pizza at CiCi's.

Happy Birthday, Tyler!

Buffalo Road Park

One of our favorite activities on a spring evening is to head out to Buffalo Road Park. We ride bikes, run, and throw a football or frisbee.

This particular night, Tyler ran 3 miles! I was super impressed with him.

Girl's Night!

While the boys were at the Father and Son's Camp out, Annie and I had our own little girl's night. First we went to my neice Maddie's birthday party, to help them decorate cookies. Annie was pretty sure the party was for her and even made them sing Happy Birthday to her while she blew out the candles. Luckily, 10 year old girls think 2 year olds are adorable and they loved her.
The next day we went to Letterland at Pullen Park. For our little letter lover, it was a dream come true.

We rode the train, which she loved.

And the carousel, which she hated!
While she loved all the big pictures and posters of letters, when it came down to meeting the mascot type characters of them, she informed me they were "creepy" and asked to go home. Good call, little one.

Fathers and Sons Camp out

This year, Ken took all 3 boys on the Fathers and Sons Camp out. They had an awesome time. It almost made it worth how grumpy they were the next day. :-)

First Grade Musical

Each year the first graders at our elementary school put on a musical. They had a swamp theme this year and, in my personal opinion, one sweet little frog was the star of the show.

Every morning when I drop the boys off at the school, we sign I Love You. It makes my momma heart happy.
After the show we took him to get ice cream at one of those add your own toppings places. He pretty  much had a bowl of candy with a little bit of ice cream underneath.
