One Month Old!!

Can you believe that Tyler is already one month old??? It has flown by. He is holding his head up really well and is tracking things with his eyes. He loves to look at lights. He is very content (most of the time) and is amazingly patient with all the torture love his brother shows him every day. We are so happy to have Ty as part of our family and can't wait to watch him grow up.

The Price of Fame

On Facebook there is a game you can play called Chain Rxn. It is a fairly simple and brainless game and Ken and I will both occasionally play it. While I was at book club on Tuesday, Ken sat down and played a game. He ended up with over 99 million points. Yes, you heard me right, in fact, he was close to 100 million. We both thought it was pretty cool, but didn't think more of it, until the fan mail began to arrive the next day. Apparently he is in the top 3 scores in the world with that game. If you go into the game on Facebook and hit top scores, you'll see us there! We've had over 10 people send us messages asking us for tips and hints (we don't have much to offer them) and several friend requests. We've had people from several countries including: Turkey, Italy, Isreal, India, and the United States, contact us. Most of their requests are pretty humorous. For your entertainment, here are some of my favorites.

*hi.how r u?can u help me chain rxn game?:)u take best score..how u take this score?:)if u help me take you/

*You look like a nice girl. perhaps will tell me how you did it on chain run? Is it just all luck or is there skill and if there is skill what am I looking for to start? Please help out an old man, thanks. (if all else fails, go with flattery and guilt trips)

I felt bad for all these people who obviously care very much about their score in a silly game, so I responded to them all. I wrote a small paragraph basically telling them that it is 95% luck and to start the reaction in the corner in the high levels and good luck. Several wrote back expressing their thanks and surprise that I actually wrote them. Here is my favorite 2nd response.

*hmm ok friend..thanks for u help i will try...:)

Immediate friends, isn't that really what facebook is all about?

Everyone was right! Of course, number one is Ty and number 2 is Abe. They continue to look more and more dissimilar to us as time goes by, but one thing for sure....They're adorable!

Who's Who??

Upon first glance, there are a lot of similarities between Abe and Ty , but the more Tyler is around the less Ken & I think they look the same. So we thought we'd do a test. Cast your vote on who is who.
BABY #1

BABY #2I will tell you one similarity, this is one of our favorite baby outfits (thanks Charlotte!) and both boys were only able to squeeze into one time!! Happens when you have big ol' babies!!!

Fun in Fuquay

So, my Mom left me a couple of days ago to spend some time at my sister Tami's house before she heads home. She took Abraham with her so I had a little more time to heal and Tyler had some more time to adjust before we are all on our own. I headed to Tami's this afternoon to pick Abraham up and their town, Fuquay-Varina, was celebrating it's 100th birthday with a big celebration. We took the kids over and had a great time.
Uncle Jared carried Tyler around all day. Doesn't Ty look cozy? And get a look at those adorable and teeny tiny tennis shoes!
Abraham LOVES fire trucks and was thrilled to actually get to sit in one. Look at how he's looking at the fireman, complete adoration. He didn't want to get out of the truck. The fireman was so nice about it though.Maybe someday we'll have a fireman on our hands! Abe rode one little ride. During the ride, I thought he hated it, but he cried when he had to be unbuckled and leave his elephant behind. We also enjoyed all the "fair" food ... cotton candy, funnel cake, and fresh squeezed lemonade. We're not sure who enjoyed the cotton candy more, the kids or the Grandma!

My mom, sister, and myself. I know I'm making a wierd face, the sun was in my eyes.

The Big Boy Room

We've finally got Abraham's new "Big Boy" room up and running. He's actually been sleeping in the big bed for about a month now, but we've been putting all the other pieces into place since then. Ken drew and painted all the pictures on the wall (aren't they awesome?!?!). We've had a lot of fun with it.

This is the reading corner. Abe really loves to climb in and out of his chair and read his books.

The big boy bed. This is the top of a set of bunk beds. We put the bottom bed up in the attic where it will lie in wait for the boys to share a room someday.

My very wonderful and talented friend gave Tyler his first photo shoot yesterday. We had a lot of fun and I am so happy with the pictures. There will be more to come, but for now check out the beautiful boy here:
