Raiders of a Lost Movie

Ken found out that one of his Young Men in the ward had never seen the Indiana Jones movies (collective gasp!). He couldn't live with that knowledge, so he became the Raider of the Lost Movie and we invited him and another couple in our ward (one of whom had also never seen the show) over for a night of Indiana Jones excitement. Of course, we had to go overboard...it wouldn't have been right otherwise...

Luckily for us, we were Eygptians for the Ward's Trunk or Treat a few years back and we kept our mummy and hieroglyphics from our trunk decorations. It saved us a lot of time in decorating.

Take note of the hat on the TV and the whip on the floor in front of the TV. Those are classics.
These are my licorice "whips". I had braided a whole bunch and left them on the counter. When I came back into the room awhile later and they had completely unraveled...so here is the 2nd best option.
These are the head piece of the Staff of Ra. They were pretty tasty too. We'd also made popcorn balls dipped in chocolate. The intent was to make a cake with a Lego Indiana swinging in front of the big rock on his whip...but we only got as far as making the popcorn balls. Oh well. We had fun and everyone enjoyed the movie. It made us excited for the new one to come out!

And I love the decorations, and as always the refreshments are so creative, and look delicious! :)

That looks awsome. The decorations turned out great, although I think the treats are my favorite! You should start a themed party business. You would be great at it! We are also excited about the movie coming out. Harrison Ford could be 200 and still good looking!

Looks pretty cool. Gordon don't believe Kim, they have never once invited us to a movie party!

This is the first movie party we've had since Tami and Jared have lived here...and we didn't start until 8:00 at night, so it wasn't very friendly for little kids (except Abe who was asleep in his crib the whole time!) We'd invite them to Gordon's movie party.

That is the coolest party for Indiana Jones I have ever seen! We have tickets for tuesday night- so we will see how it is :) We just finished all the indiana jones movies- but not in one night- because our kids are older we had to sneak it in while they slept- one movie took four nights to get through! Enjoy the crib while it lasts :)
