The Blueberry Chronicles

We have some friends at church who invited us to go and pick blueberries with them. I was very excited because the farm was giving them away for free to anyone who wanted to pick. This was my first batch: I took those and made blueberry muffins, blueberry freezer jam, and blueberry pudding! Yum!!

Abraham even got in on the blueberry action:
We decided that they were so good, and free, that we'd go back for Family night and pick some more. Ken and I took turns picking while the other entertained the buddy.
This is batch number two! I made some blueberry Jello and we gave a lot away. Ken keeps a frozen bowl in the freezer so he can munch on them, but the rest I froze to save for later treats.
Picking blueberries brought back so many wonderful memories of Arkansas and going to the Hubbard's farm. I remember waking up to blueberry pancakes and syrup and singing "There's a Hole in the Bucket" while picking. The taste of a blueberry fresh off the bush....yum!! The paste few weeks have a been a lot of blueberry fun!

I was just asking my friend yesterday if there was a place to pick blueberries here. Now I HAVE to find a place (they always remind me of Arkansas too)

Blueberries remind me of the Hubbards too. They are so good but I have to buy them at Costco to get any. Free sounds to good to be true.

that last comment was definitely not me, by the way.

I thought the first Andrea comment was just Andrea being funny. You never know...she did know a lot about our families trips to Copperton!

I, too, thought it was Andrea being funny on the comments. And I always check who I am logged in as BEFORE I post a comment (Not really, I am just the only one who ever posts from this computer so I am safe)

Kim, you domestic Diva, you!! I wish I had somewhere to go pick blueberries. We have mushrooms growing in our backyard...I don't think that would make for very tasty jam though...or tasty anything for that matter.
Hey, if you go my blog and click on the "Signing Time" link under "Sites to See", it will take you to the official site where you can purchase anything and everything Signing Time! They are 110% worth the investment! I do have an exchange deal with the creator of S.T., Rachel Coleman (I interpret for her daughter, Leah, who is Deaf). Anyway, if you found some you like, I could just have them sent to you for my price and you could send me a check. You need to tell Tammy to get on the ball and do the same...I sent her an email a while back!
