Became our TREASURE!!
Ken and I were in a thrift shop last week, trying to help gather items for a youth trek for our church. Behind the register Ken spotted this treasure chest. We inspected the price and saw that it had been marked down from an original price of $150 to $45. We've looked at several of these before and Ken knew this one needed a home in the Man Room. I had to squeeze in the back and we lowered the front seat all the way back to fit it in the car and bring it home. It is vintage and in pretty nice condition. I can only imagine the great ways it will be put to use in the future. I'm sure Ken is going to argue to use it instead of a crib next time we have a baby! Now quit coveting our treasure you scurvy dogs! Argggh!

Shiver me timbers! Peter has wanted to use a trunk as a coffee table for a while, so I am totally coveting (covetting?).
I can think of no one better to have a vintage treasure chest.
Charlotte-our offer still stands that you can have our old cocktail table...it is still just sitting in the garage!
That is so cool. You are quite the deal finders
Great trunk and great find. There are so many uses for a treasure chest. That trunk wouldn't make a good coffee table because it isn't flat.
I just wanted to comment about how cute your family pics are. I especially love the one with Abe holding the family sign. Too cute.
Don't remind me Brenda, Peter always loved that table. If only it wouldn't cost a small fortune to mail across the country. Couldn't you have stopped using it when you still live in Florida?
Hold on Brenda, you stopped using your coffee table???? Why didn't I get offered that? I love that table. I would fly out and get it (I wish).
Love the treasure chest. Cooler than I was thinking.
So, was Jack Sparrow in the trunk..if so then I dooooo covet your spectacular find!!
