This is a difficult post for me, but it is something that has greatly impacted our lives and that is the idea behind this blog, to keep a journal and record of our lives. The Friday after we arrived in Utah, my brother in law, Nate, passed away from unexplained lung cancer. It had been a long road that started five years ago, when he was first diagnosed. His health improved and he and his wife had 2 sweet little boys. Earlier this year his cancer took a turn for the worse. Nate's faith and unwaivering trust in our Heavenly Father has touched my life and the lives of many others. It was a very sad time, and yet our belief in life after death and eternal families has sustained us. Ken and I were grateful that we could be with our family at this time and that Abe could spend a little time with Uncle Nate before he died. We love you Nate and will miss you!

I am so sorry to hear about your brother-in-law. No loss is ever easy but it is even worse when they are younger. I am glad you were able to spend time with your families, and that you were able to spend some time with him too. We are thinking of you. Best wishes to your family.
I am so sorry to hear about your brother-in-law. You paid him a beautiful tribute. I know that this must be a very hard time for Ken. Aren't you so gratful for the gospel at times like this?
I'm glad that we were able to not be there, so you didn't feel any obligation to leave your family to see us. We really enjoyed you down in El Paso though :)

I keep thinking, what a blessing to have been there to spend some few moments with him before his passing. Thank you for posting and sharing with us about someone who was important in your life.
I am glad that we have the knowlege of the gospel that we do. I have never had to go through a tough loss like that (knock on wood) but hope that my faith can be that strong.
I am so sorry. We just found out Peter's niece's cancer has come back, too. It is always difficult and my prayers are for Ken's family.
Thanks for sharing the experience with my seminary class. I am sure that you made a difference in their young lives about faith and trust in Heavenly Father.

I am so sorry for you guys. I know how hard it isto loose someone so close to you. You truely never get over it. It is so good to have the gospel to help you understand Gods plan.
Death puts everything into perspective. I'm glad that your bro-in-law had the right priorities in his life.
