Vacation - El Paso and Heading Home

We had a great time back at the casa in El Paso. It was wonderful to have so many babysitters, family members around. I loved giving Gordon and Jessica a lesson in "deals" and having someone to shop with. I enjoyed our movie nights, our talks, and girl time with Jess and Mom. I enjoyed getting to go to Mom's early morning seminary class, she's a great teacher. I also enjoyed Dad teaching me to play pool at the institute. Abe had a great time and completely adored his Grandparents and Aunt and Uncle. Although, there was no doubt whom his favorite was. I've never seen him so infatuated with someone. He'd act like I didn't even exist if Grandpa was in the room. He wanted to be with him every second he could. It was really cool to see a bond between them when they've not been able to spend a lot of time together. Dad invented games for him, made funny faces and voices for him, took him on walks, gave him milkshakes, fries, and onion rings from Dairy Queen, and they had so much fun. Thanks for everything Mom and Dad. We miss you so much and were grateful for the wonderful memories we made!Abe LOVED Grandma Red's piano. He'd beg to be lifted up and let play.
Abe was crazy about G-G Jo's walker. He thought it was a great car and would beg for rides. As she pushed him around he'd "vroom".
Oh, he loved his Grandpa!! They had so much fun together.
Dad spent at least an hour pulling Abe around this way. Abe just loved it. He'd vroom and laugh and look up at his Grandpa with pure adoration. I'm sure the neighbors thought they were crazy.
Maybe he is crazy....Just kidding! We can see why Abe loved his Grandpa!

Why buy expensive toys for your children? Just visit Grandpa and Grandma! (Check out Mom's pink socks!!!)

It sure sounds like a whirlwind vacation. I bet Abe slept for a week after all that crazy play time with family!

Oh and by the time Christmas is over I am sure you will want to hang Abe on the Christmas tree, just to keep him out of your decorations!

I bet Dad just hated it. And I can't tell you how many baskets have been broken using that technique (usually with older kids and sometimes stairs)

I wish I could have been there for some girl time! I bet it was nice to have Abe be the only grandchild there so Mom and Dad could get to know him. He is such a ham!

What a great trip. I loved the pictures they brought back such good memories.

How fun that Abe loves his grand parents!! It stinks living far away from people that you want your kids to be close to.

Thanks Kim for taking the time to come see us. I loved having Abe love me. We all need that sometimes.

As far as who taught who to play pool, if it wasn't for the fact that you didn't have me put any money down, I'd believe I was hustled.

One more thought. Abe at the piano. It appears to me that, at least at this stage, he's inherited his grandpa's music skills. Hopefuly, he'll grow out of that.

I know how you feel. When my kids have Grandpa Tucker around they get spoiled like crazy and they only have eyes for him. This only creates a problem because we live with Gpa Tucker so they are spoiled all the time.

Eric and Danny's grandpa spoils them with sugar, too. He loves to get them up in the morning, feed them a breakfast of powdered-sugar donuts, and then leave for work, leaving me to deal with the messy, hyper kids. Very efficient: spoil them and spoil their appetites simultaneously.

Okay, so I love the blog...but what in the world is over on the side??? What is in that "latest steal of a deal"?? And how, how in the world is all of that only $11.62? Do they have triple coupons everywhere? I've never even seen one...are you making this up?
