This morning, Abe was adamant that he wanted to feed himself his yogurt. I'm kind of wierd about letting him feed himself things that are messy, but I thought, "What the heck, he's gotta learn sometime". I was delighted with how well he did. I hurried and grabbed the camera so we could show everyone.
After I took the video I sat and watched it a couple of times, thinking about how big my little boy has become. I then turned around and found this.

Once the mess is made, you might as well let the kid have some fun. Like I said earlier, "What the heck, he's gotta learn sometime!"
And he ended up with an extra bath, it was probably his evil plan all along!

Good for Abe!! Every boy needs to get dirty and sticky at least once a day!
He was doing good with that spoon. At least he isn't one of those weird left handed kids (after all left handedness used to be considered evil)
Wow, so grown up! It is good you get used to the messes now, because little boys love messes, including mud :)
Watching the video all I could think was my youngest has been feeding himself for a while now and he is not anywhere as clean as Abe. Then I looked at all the other pics and felt a little better about my son's big messes.
wow he is really good at holding that spoon. I loved those pics he looked like he was having a really good time.
That's not much of a mess. He really has grown up fast. Where has the time gone?
So cute, and I love hearing his cute little voice. I was always really funny about Izzy making a mess too. Now she hates making messes and freaks out whenever something spills on the table. I created a monster. It's good of you to just let him go at it. It makes me miss you a lot to hear your voice in the background.
That is really the first time you let him make a mess while eating? Boy am I doing something wrong. No wonder my house looks the way it does. I would be happy if my 8 year old ate that neatly! ;) He sure is super cute!
