6 Month Birthday!!!

I know this is the standard first sentence for all his birthday posts, but I can't believe another month has flown by! My little baby is half a year old! We just had our 6 month appointment and he actually lost some weight. He is now just over 20 lbs and in the 90% for weight. He is 28 inches long, which is also the 90% for height. He is rolling over like a champion now and sitting up for long periods of time. He loves to eat and has started on some simple finger foods. We've decided to take the doctor's advice and stop feeding him during the night. He's woken up once a night the last two nights and taken about 30 - 45 minutes to put himself back to sleep. The doctor said it should only take a week until he's sleeping on his own! Let's hope! He is still just a smiley, giggly baby and we love him lots!

Kim, I just LOVE his big beautiful blue eyes!!...they are blue aren't they? Isn't it amazing how quickly they grow up! Before you know it they are walking, talking and imitating your every move!

I hope it works. It is amazing how great a good night sleep feels after months of not having it! Was the doctor worried about the weight loss? That has never happened to me before. (By "me" I mean "my children" not "myself")

What a cute litte chunck! I can't believe they are six months old. I think you are doing a GREAT job as a mom! Watch out though, the older they get the more you will miss having a "baby" around!!

The doctor said when a baby moves from the 100% to the 90%, they aren't too worried about the weight loss. I'm just happy that he is still little enough for his infant seat again now (even if it will only be for a week or two!)

He's just adorable. I want to grab those cute little cheeks, but don't worry- I won't rip his ear off! ;) (Anyone reading this will surely wonder where that came from!) Hope the sleeping through the night goes well.

Good luck with sleeping through the night. I stopped feeding Izzy but I would still have to get up and get her a paci to help her go back to sleep. The doc. told me to put a bunch of paci's in her bed so she could find one herself. That seemed to work. I don't remember if Abe takes a paci or not though.
