Due to the impending birth of Baby Boy Carlile, we reluctantly came to the realization that my little Honda Civic wasn't going to be able to tote three car seat riding babies around. We did an overnight babysitting swap with good friends to celebrate our anniversary and took the time to find a mini van. I didn't expect it, but I got kind of nostalgic as I drove my little Honda for the last time. It was my first "big girl" purchase after graduating college and for the last 9 years it has served me well. To be perfectly honest though, I will admit that I am pretty happy with the new car too! I can put my double jogger in back and not have to smash groceries in random places throughout the rest of the car because I have no room. I also really love that I don't have to share my air conditioner vents any longer!!
This is me on the day I bought the Honda.
This is me on the day we sold it. Oh how the times have changed!

You look so good in both pictures. Where are the ones of the new car? Good bye green car.
So what kind of van did you get? We need new car pictures too!
A mini-van drivin' mom :). LOL. This is a big step. CONGRATS.
I remember when you bought that car, too. It's been a great car for you. Enjoy the more spacious gas-guzzler!
yeah, where's the new car?
I know exactly what you mean: I felt sentimental about giving up my old Corolla, too. I had bought it in grad school, and it had been very good to me. Damon made me handle the sale all by myself (thanks craigslist!), so I had no one to blame but myself if I didn't get what I felt it was worth. Now we're looking to size back down. Don't you feel so high off the road now?
So cute that you had the pictures to document the buying and the selling. If we have another one, I'll be in the same boat. I love my little old Corolla...though it is rough on Costco days!
