Random Life

Just some random pictures that I love for various reasons. 

 Tyler makes the funniest poses. It cracks me up. 

 Annie has a pretty intense obsession for the alphabet. She plays with these foam letters ALL the time. This day, she was using her waffle as a letter O. It made me laugh so hard. 

 Playing "teeth" or "nails" with Dad. A Carlile favorite game. 

 Annie struggles with transitions at times. Sometimes she really, really doesn't want to get out of the van.

Spring Break

We had a fun and full Spring Break. We started with a trip to the  theater to see Minions. Annemarie usually has a really hard time at the movies, but she did amazingly well. 

 Some friends invited us to go the Durham Science Museum with them. We had a great time there, as always.

 Tyler and Ellie have been friends since they were babies! 

 I can't describe how much I love this picture. The boys smiling and looking at the camera and Annemarie screaming like she's being tortured. There always has to be one uncooperative kid. 

Then we had a ninja party. We invited our cousins and then each kid got to invite one friend. We made ninja costumes, played ninja games, and had ninja snacks. It was a lot of fun. 

 I made one of our favorite breakfasts, German pancakes with butter syrup. This picture makes me laugh. I happened to look over and everyone was simultaneously licking their plates. That butter syrup is so delicious, you've got to lick off every last drop!

 We finished off our week with General Conference and cotton candy. 

We had so much fun, if only spring break happened more than once a year!

Easter

 We aren't much for dying eggs around here. No one likes to eat them and so they would go to waste. So, this year we decorated Easter egg cookies instead. Everyone had so much fun and we had no problem eating every last one.

 Easter baskets! I love these baskets that my Grandpa made for them. 

 Grandma Carlile sent plastic eggs for a hunt. There was even a silver egg with $5 in it and a golden egg with $10 in it. 

 Matching Easter clothes for church. Abraham and Tyler got their first ties that tie like Dad's. They were very excited about them.
